Designing a public space that would become an identitary element for a community is always a complex operation. In the specific case of the Piazza of Fontaniva the task is even more demanding, because the space is already strongly determined by the presence of elements added over time, not always in a harmonious way. The project therefore aims to restore unity to a large space, characterized by the latent presence of the Roman centuriation raster and Via Roma, the east-west main road.
Based on a few simple steps, the goal is to provide a key to making the relationships between the elements clear and immediate, while at the same time providing concrete support for the development of the different forms of social life of the local community.
